2016 Year End Financial Report

Friends of Madagascar Mission (FOMM) ended the 2016 fiscal year on a very positive note! All programs supported by the 2016 FOMM budget were fully funded. In addition several proposal projects were also funded with year end balances. It is FOMM's goal to send the gifts for mission as quickly as possible. Therefore the following projects, in addition to the budgeted items were funded:

(1) Prison Ministry Program at Ihosy was funded. This is the 10th site for a Prison Ministry. In 2011, we began Prison Ministry support with 3 sites.

(2) Prisoner Handicraft Project was funded. There are no vocational training programs in Madagascar prisons. The Department of Justice has approved beginning a program in each prison.

(3) DVD Prison Choir Gospel Freedom Singers was funded. Again, with the Department of Justice approval, the choirs in several prisons will have a professional recording team record the choirs and DVD's will be duplicated and sold in both Madagascar and the USA.

(4) Laptop and Printer Project was funded. The Betrioky and the Betroka Synods requested the purchase of a laptop and printer for each synod to assist them in communicating with FOMM in providing reports.

(5) A Motorcycle for the Evangelist Coordinator in the Betroka Synod was funded. FOMM is attempting to find funding through another mission organization that funds motorcycles for evangelism in poor nations. If this search does not provide a motorcycle, FOMM will provide the funds.

(6) Manaatantely Bible School was funded. FOMM has been supporting two Bible Schools. Now we have added a third Bible School to be supported by FOMM.

Thanks be to God that FOMM donors have been so generous that we are able to provide funds over and above the budget to support mission projects.
