Friends of Madagascar Mission is always looking for Ambassadors. Ambassadors are people who, after becoming familiar with Friends of Madagascar Mission and the work that we do, feel called by God to share with others about this mission.
Basically, Friends of Madagascar Mission Ambassadors want to tell the story of our work and encourage others to join in prayer and support to help them maintain an informed relationship with us. And maybe invite people to visit Madagascar.
What do Ambassadors do?
Ambassadors share. They share their stories. They share their experiences. They share what other people are doing for the people of Madagascar. They share their passion.
Here are some examples of what Ambassadors can do:
- Use social media to share Friends of Madagascar Mission posts, updates, emails, and podcasts with people in your sphere of influence. Tell people why you are excited about supporting Friends of Madagascar Mission.
- Share what Friends of Madagascar Mission is doing one-on-one with a friend over coffee.
- Host a meal or dessert coffee in churches or homes. Invite 8-10 people you believe are open to hearing about Friends of Madagascar Mission. Use the resources on this website to help share the word for support in prayer and giving.
- Encourage churches to have a “Mission Minute” once a month during worship where videos and other resources are used to share about the work being done in Madagascar.
- Talk with your pastor – or other pastors in the community – to present Friends of Madagascar Mission’s mission to church councils, especially to mission committees, to consider taking on a specific mission project.
- Share our mission with the Sunday School children, the Confirmation students, or High School Youth Group.
- Set up a display or Mission Bulletin Board in your church showing pictures and descriptions of the various programs in which Friends of Madagascar Mission is involved.
- Encourage your church to have a “Mission Sunday.” Invite Friends of Madagascar Mission’s Executive Director Pastor David Lerseth to come and preach or present about our mission. In addition, a Friends of Madagascar Mission Ambassador is another option to share our mission information with the congregation.
- Consider hosting a series of Sunday morning coffee fellowships that one of our Ambassadors calls “Muffins for Missions” to raise money for people and programs.
- Host a community or regional Christian concert with a clear message the event is to raise awareness and support for Friends of Madagascar Mission. Show the Friends of Madagascar Mission video at intermission. Display our mission information on a separate table. Use a sign up sheet to invite people to receive our email messages and newsletters. After expenses, offerings support Friends of Madagascar Mission.
- Organize a Walk-4-Water event to raise awareness and funds for drilling or repairing wells in drought-stricken areas of Madagascar. Clean water is vital!
- Consider traveling with a group of people to Madagascar this August.

Do you feel the Spirit calling you to share the work of Friends of Madagascar Mission with others in your world?
