The Friends of Madagascar Mission Annual Meeting was held on Thursday, February 19th. The following is a brief summary of the meeting:
- Pastor Lee Laaveg, Loren Morschen and Craig Norenberg were elected to serve on the board for a three year term.
- We are seeking new board members and Pastor Daniel Ostercamp has submitted an application to serve on the board. He attended the meeting as a guest to experience how FOMM operates and to begin to understand the length and breadth of FOMM’s mission and ministry.
- We are also seeking new staff persons to serve in FOMM’s mission and ministry. We have two persons who have expressed an interest in joining our staff and will be introducing them when and if they agree to serve. One of them was able to attend the meeting and the second one was unable to attend because of illness. We pray they will be able to accept a call to serve.
- The treasurer reported that in 2025 we received $446,316.19. This is the second highest year of received revenue in FOMM’s history, to which we gave thanks to God for the generosity of our donors.
- The chairperson of FOMM’s Endowment Fund reported that at the end of 2025 we have a total of $330,995 in our Fund. Some of the funds are designated for specific mission programs and and some may be designated to programs by the FOMM Board of Directors.
- Reports from the Executive Director, each of the three board programs and the FOMM staff members were presented and appreciation expressed for the commitment and work of all.
- The 2026 budget was presented and a 5% increase in spending was approved.
