Friends of Madagascar Mission began with programs focused on “Evangelism”! This included supporting evangelists who lived in villages where there were no Christians and they shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ with them. They also traveled to neighboring villages as well. This program has been effective in growing the Christian Church in great numbers. Friends of Madagascar Mission then helps them to build a church building where they are able to worship. We began in 2015 with 3 evangelists in one church synod and today we are supporting 67 evangelists in four church synods.
Each of these evangelists is supported by a congregation or an individual/family. A sponsor receives a report on the work of their evangelist 4 times a year. Also when we travel to Madagascar, as we will be doing this August, we take a photo of each evangelist and share with a sponsor.
We invite you to support an evangelist, knowing that 100% of what you give goes to support the evangelist. The cost is $800.00 a year ($600 salary, $100 continuing education and $100 for health care).
