Madagascar and Wuhan Virus

As the whole world has become affected with the Wuhan Virus, it reached the shores ofMadagascar on the last flight into the country from France a couple of weeks ago. Threepeople aboard that flight tested positive for the Wuhan Virus and were immediatelyquarantined. The other passengers were asked to self-quarantine. Currently thereare 120 people who have tested positive and no deaths.The result for the people in Madagascar is that the government has ordered the peopleto self-quarantine and keep social distancing. Madagascar and the Corona Virus

We received word late last week that the first cases of the Corona Virus has reached Madagascar.The last flight coming from Europe included three women who tested positive for the virus and arequarantined, plus everyone who was on that plane. The Malagasy Lutheran Churches quickly closeddown all worship and meetings at the churches. Please remember to pray for them as we do for us.

Manasoa Bible School

One of the Bible Schools supported by FOMM, the Manasoa Bible School reported to FOMM that oneof their students died recently, not the virus. He is survived by his wife and 5 children.

10 Anniversary of FOMM

2020 is the 10th year of FOMM’s existence. We have been planning events around the country tocelebrate this milestone under the theme: “2020 VISION!” Obviously with the current situation inthe USA we will be postponing these events until it is appropriate to again meet together. Anniversary Bible verse: Philippians 1:3: “Every time I think of you I thank God for you!”
