The new year has begun! Friends of Madagascar Mission is looking forward to the opportunities to come. As we put 2025 in the books, we are grateful for a very good year. Let’s look at the 3 main purposes of Friends of Madagascar Mission.
One: We met every 3rd Monday of the month for an online Prayer Gathering. We have had a wide range of persons attending besides a number of regular attenders. It is always uplifting and encouraging to participate in this gathering. We introduce those who are in attendance, receive a list of prayer concerns, give updates on what is happening with FOMM and have a time to pray about all of the above. Prayer for the mission in Madagascar is one of three main purposes of Friends of Madagascar Mission, so this gathering is very important.
Two: The final financial report is not finished but it appears to be a very good year. So, thank you to all of you who have donated to FOMM. I always tell the people in Madagascar that when they give thanks for FOMM’s support for the programs and projects that they are really thanking the donors. Financial support for FOMM is the second of three main purposes of Friends of Madagascar Mission, and remember that 100% of all gifts to FOMM go to the programs and projects.
Three: The third of three main purposes of Friends of Madagascar Mission is our consultation with the programs and projects. FOMM does not own these, they are owned by the Malagasy Christians. We, through a thorough review of a program or project, review them and decide if this is something we wish to support. And so we consult with them about how the programs or projects are working and advise them about improvements in managing. We have a zero tolerance for any mismanagement of funds we send and if any improprieties are discovered, during our three stage auditing process, funding will cease.
Now, we look forward to 2026 and the possibilities it will bring!
