Friends of Madagascar Mission Support Categories Evangelism Children in Peril Development

Support Categories

We have three categories of support for programs and projects:

Evangelists prepare to depart for the Evangelism summit.

Evangelism: This is the main reason for our work to help the church in Madagascar reach out to those who have not heard the Gospel.

Children in Peril: Madagascar has a huge number of children in the category of Street Children. Some estimates state there are one million street children. In addition there are many children who are blind, deaf and have other medical conditions that make up another large number of Children in Peril. We have been working to develop this emphasis over the past three years.

There is no shortage of places to develop a program, but we are very careful in selecting and developing a program to be sure we will have the funds to support these programs. To date, you the donors, have been very generous in supporting these programs.

Development: For a country without a good infrastructure, everywhere you look there is need for development. We have wisely chosen such projects and programs. Currently, we have a program that is a big challenge for us. It is called “Thanks a Million!” The goal is to raise one million dollars to drill water wells and distribution systems in the south west of Madagascar, which is a very arid region. We did a pilot project for this two years ago and raised $100.000.00.

We have used those funds to drill wells and systems to distribute the water to numerous locations. It was a great success. Now we have set our goal higher and it has no deadline, we will work as long as it takes to reach this goal. We invite you to join us in this program.

Please go to http://www.MadagascarDevelopment.org to review the program and see how you and/or your congregation or organization may join in supporting this important project.
