Evangelism is at the heart of the mission of the Malagasy Lutheran Church. All that FOMM does connects to evangelism.
We currently support 74 evangelists. The need and the requests are for more evangelists to share the Gospel to persons who have never heard of the love of God through Jesus Christ as our Savior. Evangelists live in the midst of unbelievers. They are often threatened by the witch doctors and others in the communities. Then they have to leave for their own and their families safety. But the evangelists are armed with the Word of God and move on to another village when they are driven out. They do not give up, they are called to share the Word of God.
Each evangelist receives a salary of $700.00 per year for their work, plus $100 for educational events and $100 for health costs.
FOMM asks for your support so we may provide more evangelists to serve. Will you personally, or your congregation, provide $900 a year to support an evangelist? You will be assigned an evangelist and sent a photo and a bio of the evangelist and family. In addition, you will receive 4 reports a year about their work.
It is a great program for a congregation, a family or a church group (Sunday School, Confirmation, Women’s/Men’s groups,etc.)
