We support 72 evangelists. Yet, the church in Madagascar is requesting more support.
A. Individuals or congregations may support an evangelist for $900.00 a year ($700 for salary, $100 for education and $100 for a health insurance program. These evangelists work in the front lines of their evangelism program, living in small villages and traveling throughout the area to visit many other villages to share the Gospel message of Jesus Christ!
B. Another great program individuals or congregations may find interesting to support is called the Nofy i Androy Program. It works within the Christian framework of helping families to allow girls to have an education and a future! The cultural norm is for a girl to become pregnant at an early age of puberty and as a result live in poverty the rest of her life. The program is based with an after school program to assist girls to continue their studies, to guide and encourage parents to keep their girls in school and an evangelist supported by FOMM who teaches Faith within the program and also teaches the parents that girls can have a future to not live in poverty. It is amazing that many of these girls not only finish high school but continue to go to university and beyond to become doctors, nurses, teachers, lab technicians, etc. It is a program that may be supported for $200.00 a year which includes receiving the name and a biography plus 2 letters from the girl each year.
