Unfortunately, the 2025 Friends of Madagascar Mission Education Trip was canceled at the very last minute due to several factors.
- First, our Executive Director, Pastor David P. Lerseth came down with two medical issues that his doctors recommended he not travel to Madagascar.
- Second, there was a food poisoning issue in Madagascar that had killed whole families and groups attending celebrations.
- Third, there was an outbreak of a strain of the COVID virus in the city of Betroka where we were going to be spending most of our time.
All of these factors influenced this decision to cancel the trip. It was a great disappointment to those from the USA as well as the Malagasy people who were excited to welcome us to their country.
