The Prison Ministry, one of FOMM’s earliest programs, has been totally reorganized. Initially it was The Prison Ministry Madagascar (PMM). With the growth of the PMM from one prison in 2010 to 36 prisons in 2025, the program needed to be reorganized. There is now a chairperson of the PMM with two divisions: Spiritual and Humanitarian.
- The Spiritual Division (SPMM) manages the support for the weekly ministry within the prisons (worship material, Bibles, baptism and confirmation materials, etc.)
- The Humanitarian Division (HPMM) manages the vocational training opportunities in the prisons (sandals/crosses/baskets/jewelry; teaching welding; making soap; making puppets, etc.); making improvements in the living conditions of the prisons; providing food/medicine/clothing etc.
The work in the prisons is welcomed by the Ministry of Justice who manage the 82 prisons across Madagascar.
