It’s here! A new dynamic opportunity to support FOMM’s mission and ministry! It is called THANKS A MILLION! It is a program to prayerfully raise $1 million for water development in one of the driest regions in the world, southwest Madagascar.
If there is to be a drought and drastic famine in the world, this region is one of the four most probable regions to experience one. A few years ago, this region went without measurable rainfall for 4 years. Now FOMM has established a Living Water Program and has, in 2024-2025, dug numerous wells and created water distribution systems (solar pumps, water towers, underground pipes to distribute water to many sites including agricultural fields to produce food, etc.) to many. The wells we are digging are not shallow wells, but deep wells dug through solid granite to get to wells of plentiful water below the granite. It is like the account of Moses striking the rock in the Bible, and water gushing forth. People are amazed to see water blowing up out of the earth, when for centuries they have had to exist with little water, much less clean, pure water!
We have begun digging new water wells in the city of Betroka and Mananovy as a result of donations from our Lenten “Living Water” program of two years ago. It has been very successful and based upon this program we have decided to launch a bigger, more aggressive program to provide more new water wells and repair many wells that have ceased to produce water. Our goal is for each donor to give $3.00 a month for 3 months through FOMM’s website and then ask 3 additional persons to do the same. If we work hard with your support to do this, within one year we could raise $1,000.000.00!
